Ian Finn

Ian Finn is a highly experienced Digital Product Strategist who has led digital change at some of the UK’s largest companies and government departments. A diverse career across a range of the UK’s leading B2C service brands means Ian brings an ‘end-to-end’ portfolio of digital capability spanning product, digital strategy as well as digital customer experience.

As Head of Product for Next Level Digital, Ian has instigated significant digital change across Barclays Bank (introducing the Bank’s first foray into digital self-service for Insurance) and Sky (where he headed up Transformation for a landmark, £30m programme of digital change across products and channels). Ian has also led on product strategy for landmark digital change programmes for UK government departments, including introducing a cutting-edge global CRM for the Department of International Trade and ‘Estimate your take home pay’ PAYE tax calculator services for HMRC.

Prior to Next Level Digital, Ian held senior proposition roles with Telefonica O2. Here he developed, and implemented, game-changing proposition strategies in the consumer space. These strategies included: turning around business performance in the mobile add-ons category (to the tune of a 4500% margin growth in one year, to £4.5m) and designing and developing O2’s ‘experience’ Broadband proposition.

Ian has also worked at leading B2C tech brands including Sony Ericsson, Targus and Bosch.

A Chartered Marketer (MCIM) since 2008, Ian is also a certified full member of the Institute of Direct & Digital Marketing (M IDM) as well as being qualified in business change; as both an Agile and PRINCE2 Practitioner. Ian holds an honours degree in English & American Literature from the University of Warwick.

Deeply passionate about all things digital and technology, Ian is also a key advocate of developing a ‘Customer Champion’ direction for service organisations. In order to help distinguish themselves in noisy, crowded markets. When not at the digital coal face, Ian likes to unwind by playing amateur league hockey, skiing, enjoying the great outdoors and cultivating his passion for writing and content creation.
